So the other day I was having a convo with a very, very successful real estate agent. I told him how it’s totally difficult for me to put the computer down & just stop.
Stop working. Stop typing. Stop e-mailing. Stop blogging.
Just stop. & relax. & chill the F out.
He responded with this: “if you don’t take a day of rest, you’ll burn yourself out. It’s so important to take one day off a week & not do one thing having to do with work. You’ll be a happier human, you’ll feel more inspired, & you’ll start your week off with more energy and drive.
I panicked. Not return one e-mail? For one whole day? I mean, really? Not even one measly old e-mail?
“Nope, not one, take a day off,” he said.
Zero, zilch, nada.
My overworked brain couldn’t comprehend his words of wisdom. Until this weekend.
When I realized he was absolutely right.
So I put his plan in action…& for one day this weekend I.didn’t.work.
And honestly? It kinda felt liberating.
Anyway if you’re anything like me, try it. LMK how it goes. Taking one day off ( my day of choice definitely a Saturday or Sunday ) to not have work crap will be rad.
Rad for you, rad for your boyfriend/girlfriend/dog/wife/blah/blah, & rad for your psyche.
Ride a bike, take a hike, go on a super romantical date, read a book, get a pedicure, volunteer, walk the dog, clean out your closet…just do something other than freaking work!

Stress is a bitch.
These past two weeks have been way more stressful than usual. I’ve been trying to juggle a hundred different things & it feels like I’m working 24/7. It just seems hard to well, relax.
Even when I should be relaxing, it’s not happening.
Lately it’s been go, go, go. Between a million e-mails, the YouTube channel, teaching Pilates, an upcoming project, blogging, family, friends, etc, I’m pooped.
I mean, does anyone else feel like there really, seriously isn’t enough hours in the day? Geezzzzzz.
Anyway, enough of the Debbie Downer crap…
These are the ways I’ve been dealing with the chaos. They’re all simple, natural remedies but each one has been helping me decompress.
How I say buh-bye to stress:
+ Ice cream fizzies + candles make for a the perf bubble bath. Add some red wine & I’m chilling.
+ Coconut & kukui nut body oils…because they’re just yummy.
+ Cucumber slices for my eyes…my sister, Faye, swears by this.
+ And last but def not least, lavender aromatherapy. Call me crazy but I add a few drops plus water into a mini spray bottle ( << just like a witch doctor!! ) & then spritz it my pillow & my dog, Pixy. We each take long, deep breaths ; ). Ahhhh.
Obviously my number one stress cure is a workout. But I’m sure you already knew that.
