Let’s talk prep. If you look like the hottest version of yourself bronzed & sun-kissed, then why in the hell would you not get a spray tan?
ESP on NYE.
At 9 am I’m headed to iTAN in SD. Why iTAN? It’s practically a one stop shop. Meaning: I get my teeth whitened ( by their amazing, quick whitening contraption – see below – ), my skin tightened ( weird? Not so much. Lumière Light-Therapy is an easy process which makes your skin look/feel insane ), & I sp-sp-spray.

So. Have fun. Be safe. Drink a lot of water. Make out at midnight. Wear something hot & sexy. Preferably not something that looks like sequin throw up. And workout tomorrow before the madness.
Oh…& if the day after NYE is too much, here’s some tips on how to be hungover like a champ.

This weekend was filled with friends, dancing, & cocktails. Saturday we went to the ever-so-charming Whisknladle- my spinach salad & London’s Burning cocktail [ gin, avocado, lime, & jalapeño ] could not have been more delicious. On Sunday, typically my “attempt to relax day,” we decided to to go out instead. LED Presents put on a concert with the most amazing DJ’s & it turned out to be insanely fun. Acknowledging the next day was Monday, I prepared myself. Here are some healthy hangover tips I live by:
+ Late night eats: I anticipate at 2 am, I will probably crave mac n’ cheese. So I stock my cabinet with Annie’s Organic White Cheddar Mac & Cheese. Throw away any of that Kraft crap. It’s full of preservatives & additives.
+ Pain-killers: Do not take Tylenol, or anything with Acetophenone [ mixing alcohol with this ruins the liver ], use Ibuprofen [ think Advil ] instead. P.S. that does not mean popping one each time you drink, use it sparingly.
+ Post-drinking: When you wake up, honey sandwiches are known to help with hangovers. I eat one piece of Oasis 8 carb toast with organic honey. It’s amazing. Oh, & stop justifying greasy food- it does not help. Mineral water with sodium does wonders too.
+ Hydrate: Tea, wheatgrass, Kombucha, green drinks, coconut water- drink up.
+ Exercise: I know, this is hard. If you can attempt it, shoot for later in the day. Think the elliptical.
+ No saunas: Do not go into a sauna; it makes you sweat- which dehydrates the body even more
+ Sleep: heals all- your body recovers with shut-eye. Sunglasses help too!
