Apple Cider Vinegar & its AMAZE Benefits— Bottoms Up!

Lauryn Evarts, fitness blogger, lifestyle blogger, and fashion blogger talks skinny tips and tricks for weight loss with apple cider vinegar.

You know what annoys the hell out of me?

Like, I want to rip my hair out because it’s so frustrating?

When people think just because something’s super expensive it’s better than anythingggggg else.

WRONG.

Today I’m sharing a beauty tip that’s insane for skin, hair, nails, weight loss, & detoxification.

Apple.cider.vinegar.

Oh! And ( shocker! ) it’s only $5.99.

Eat your heart out, La Mer.

If the 100% all natural version ( not the preservative-filled shit ) is not currently chillin’ in your kitch then go run to the nearest store ASAP. Why? Because:

+ Balances pH: by combining one cup of apple cider vinegar with one cup of cold water, you can create your own all natural AM/PM toner.

+ Detoxification: anytime you cleanse ( like this ), drink a few tablespoons of it in the AM. The vinegar helps cleanse the kidneys.

+ Oh hey, anti-aging benefits: say buh-bye to age spots. The above toner will help rid any sun/age exposure.

+ Healthy, shiny hair: add some to your shamps & condition. I added four teaspoons to my MoroccanOil shower products. Read more hair tips here.

+ Tea time: make this detoxing tea to flush your system. Also, Marianna Hewitt swears by this skin detox tea!

+ Weight loss: #theskinnyconfidentialweightlosstipofthecentury: this vinegar sheds those lb’s!

+ For my own freaking benefit: I LOVE the smell of vinegar. Weird? IDK.

Big P.S. the acidity in the vinegar is harsh on teeth. So make sure to drink it from a straw ( like this ) or dilute it in water or tea.

Capisce?

Drunk on Juice + Other Ramblings

Day 2!!!

Annnnddddd baaaa! I’m buzzed off Suja.

This is the easiest detox ever. I had one measly hunger pain so I ate an avocado with cayenne powder ( thx for tip, Weslie ) & a bunch of lemon. Now? I feel like a million bucks x 10.

Let’s talk exercising on a juice cleanse:

Annie ( << the cleansing guru ) said light exercise is fine. She’s done yoga for the past two days + some light walking- & it’s working really well for her.

Weslie & Sam have ran + weight lifting.

Casey has been playing soccer & that’s working for her schedule/her body.

Cody has done a little skateboarding + some ab work.

Do what floats your boat. Obviously, you know your sexy bod better than anyone.

In my opinion? Hot yoga ( while detoxing ) doesn’t work for me. I faint ( literally, faint ) at the sight of a needle. Also hot temps get me. Hot temperatures + a juice cleanse = me fainting. So far, I’ve done some traditional Pilates & strengthen training on the detox…I’m feeling fantastic.

Again: do what works for YOU. Not your dad, not your boyfriend, not me, not your dog, not your creepy, weird neighbor…you.

So on that note, I’ll leave ya all with a lil tippy-a-de-tip: have a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar each morning while you’re cleansing. Why? Because it stimulates the GI tract + it’s alkalizing after a night of sleep.

The giveaway winner, Kimberly is loving the cleanse too- check out her Suja experience here.

I la, la, love hearing about your cleanse experience; feel free to share below. MWAH!

Lauryn Evarts, fitness and health blogger talks with TV host, Marianna Hewitt.

Say hello to TV host and YouTube star, Marianna Hewitt. Between her fab skin detox tea & home beauty tricks, I think you’ll find her tips extremely useful. Oh, and thanks to Marianna’s make-up advice [ see below ], I just bought The Beauty Blender- so excited to use this in my daily routine! Find her on Twitter @Marianna_1010. Happy Reading Dolls!

+ Quick skinny trick?

Eating small meals throughout the day. I start with a big breakfast with green tea mixed with apple cider vinegar & agave. Then throughout the day I eat lots of small meals- so my metabolism is always working. I don’t drink alcohol or soda and almost never fast food. Maybe once a month!

+ Weekly workout schedule?

I honestly am blessed with great genes. But I enjoy going hiking and I also do pilates! Pilates on the reformer has been a miracle for me. I stay very toned with long lean muscles and I love doing it! Max I go twice a week. I’m a small person, so I hardly do cardio because I don’t want to lose any weight. But in Los Angeles, I love to hike Runyon Canyon. It’s beautiful!

+ Favorite go-to healthy food?

Egg whites scrambled!! It’s cheap, easy, filling & I really think it tastes good!

+ Motivation to stay in shape?

It’s easier to stay in shape then to one day have to get in shape. So if you just keep it up now, you never have to stress one day on how to lose ten, twenty, thirty pounds. If you stay ready- you never have to get ready. Plus living in Los Angeles, it’s always warm so I need to be bikini ready all year.

+ Favorite beauty product?

The Beauty Blender makeup sponge. I cannot do my makeup with out this! I use it to apply my foundation and concealer. You can see how I use it on mh-tv.com or youtube.com/mariannahewitt I have a foundation tutorial. It makes my skin look airbrushed.

+ Natural beauty remedy that you do?

For my skin I drink green tea mixed with agave for sweetness and apple cider vinegar to detox. I also use plain greek yogurt as a face mask. I leave it on for twenty to thirty minutes then rinse off with cool water & apply moisturizer.

+ A secret model tip for diet and health?

Don’t starve yourself!!! Girls think not eating helps- & it really hurts you in the end. Continue eating and take care of your body. I also take vitamins. I take a pre-natal vitamin. Not only do I need the nutrients, but it’s great for hair skin and nails.

+ Example of a day’s worth of eating?

Breakfast: egg whites scrambled, cottage cheese with berries, & a green tea detox drink.

Snack: hummus or a natural fruit roll up.

Lunch: salad with chicken or salmon or smoked salmon sandwich.

Snack: candy! I don’t eat great all day.

Dinner: chicken or steak with a side of veggies or pasta if I’m feeling like it! I love penne with vodka sauce.

+ Quick, easy recipe:

Zucchini Salad

1 zucchini

1 lemon

4 tablespoons of EVOO

1/2 handful of cherry tomatoes

A few mint leaves

Diced basil

1/2 handful of toasted pine nuts

+ Directions: Slice zucchini really thin with a mandolin, squeeze two lemons, pour in four tablespoons of olive oil, & slice in half a handful of cherry tomatoes. Add mint and basil and mix it together. Let sit for two hours; every thirty minutes mix together. Toast some pine nuts to add on top. It usually lasts me a few meals so I keep a container in the fridge- it’s sooo delicious!!
