Get Fit Tip: Google Calendar Your Workouts

Lauryn Evarts, fitness blogger, lifestyle blogger, and fashion blogger talks tips and tricks for fitness.

‘Google calendar’ is my best friend. Especially when it comes to working out; every Sunday I take a few seconds to schedule my fitness for the upcoming week. I include cardio, strength training, & Pilates + Emojis [ because who doesn't love the bikini one? ] + an alarm.

Some of Google cal’s amazing functions: ability to color code appointments, it syncs with home computers, you can share a calendar with a friend/BF/hubby/dog/cat/imaginary friend/whatever, & last but not least, the alarm forces you off your ass & out of bed for the pre-scheduled sweat sesh.

When there’s a visual fitness appointment on your calendar, it’s so much easier to get up & move. Make a commitment to yourself & stick with it!

How did you make your calendar with pretty colors? My Google Calendar is the standard format.

  2. Hey Lauren! Thanks for the tip. I have been using Google calendar for ages in conjunction with my Gmail account but there was something wrong with my settings and it wasn’t syncing back to my PC. After reading your post I have looked into it more and have made my calender all pretty with color coding :D

  3. Do you use the google calendar on your iPhone? If so, what was the app called? I cant seem to find it. Ive been looking for a good calendar app.

Is there an iphone app you are using with Google Calendar? Or do you just use it on your desktop and sync to your iphone calendar?

  14. Gcal is my favorite workout partner! I use Agenda for iPad/iPhone (it makes fun colored dots!) but will have to check out/compare it to this app. Even better accountability – make it a “shared” calendar invite and throw a few friends in the mix!!

Hate to beat a dead horse here but I got “GoCal” and GooCal”….neither of them sink with the fun colors! What am I missing? Is it actually a diff app? Has to look cute if I’m going to be motivated ;)

  16. Katie

I did it on the computer and it didn’t change :( Also, the interface on your pic doesn’t match GooCal or GoCal. It’s completely different. Is it
    a different app?
